Leadoptik is developing a miniaturized imaging system that provides real-time visualization deep inside human lungs to enable earlier cancer diagnoses. The product combines novel nanofabrication and optical metamaterials to achieve resolution about fifty times smaller than current imaging systems. The company is led by co-founder and CEO Reza Khorasaninejad and co-founder Jiang You. Leadoptik intends to use the new capital for product development, including pursuing FDA approval on the path to commercialization. The company raised $5M in seed funding to advance those development and regulatory goals. The technology is aimed at allowing surgeons to view much smaller structures than existing systems permit.
