On July 15, 2021, LearnWorlds raised $32M in funding via a minority investment from global venture capital and private equity firm Insight Partners. The company said it will use the funds to advance its product roadmap, boost customer success, and accelerate marketing and sales focused on SMBs. LearnWorlds plans to more than double its staff from 80 to 170 full-time employees in the next year and expand its team internationally beyond its current headquarters in Greece and Cyprus. The company is based in Limassol, Cyprus and Chania, Greece. LearnWorlds is a SaaS e-learning platform that provides an end-to-end solution for creating and running online academies. Its product includes authoring tools for interactive courses plus monetisation, marketing, certifications, and analytics features. The platform is aimed at helping creators and businesses increase customer engagement, capture value through sales, and forge meaningful bonds with their audiences. LearnWorlds reports fast growth to over 1,000 customers in 70 countries and strong third-party reviews on G2 Crowd and Capterra. The company has been bootstrapped to profitability. Management says it will use outside funding to move faster, increase sales capacity, and add features to better serve large-scale schools and enterprise customers.
