Leavy.co is a travel community and marketplace that connects travellers who want to rent out their room ("Happy Leavers") with local managers ("Hosts on Demand"). Its core product advances bookings by offering members cash up front for making their space available, with dynamic pricing set by the company’s algorithm. Members can also earn Leavy Coins as travel credit for referrals, content and engagement. The company says its community has grown to more than 65,000 millennials (60% women) and it employs about 100 people across six markets with offices in Paris, Amsterdam, London, Madrid, Rome and Lisbon. Leavy.co quietly closed a $14 million seed round in January. The startup plans to open in the U.S. by the end of the year.
