Libre is a Toronto-based DeFi startup that aims to create a one-stop DeFi shop for crypto veterans and newcomers. The team emphasizes cross-chain protocols and plans launches on Avalanche, Polygon Network, and Binance Smart Chain. Libre intends to launch the $LIBRE token and its Dapp simultaneously across those three blockchains in October 2021. The company closed an oversubscribed private sale of $945,000, bringing total capital raised to $1,740,000. The private round was backed by AU21 Capital, MoDeFi, Basics Capital, Vendetta Capital, CyberFi, X21, and 18Ventures. Founders Julian Vasil and Josh Davis said details of the public sale would be announced later in October.
