LifeLabs develops commercially viable textiles that regulate body temperature using patented fabric technology drawn from Stanford’s advanced materials laboratory. Its consumer collection includes sustainable everyday wear, outdoor wear, sleepwear and bedding made from recycled materials that either cool the body or retain heat. Flagship lines include CoolLife, which releases the body’s infrared radiation to reduce reliance on air coolers, and WarmLife, which uses reflective technology. The company launched to the public in October 2021 with a line of body temperature–regulating apparel. LifeLabs positions its materials as both commercially viable and as tools to combat the effects of climate change. The company is led by co-founder Dr. Yi Cui, a Stanford professor of Materials Science and Engineering.
