LifeRobotics was founded in December 2007 and is developing a co-robot named Coro for small manufacturing spaces where conventional robots are difficult to position. The Coro system lets users teach motions using a 3D mouse or a game pad without complex programming skills, targeting productivity improvements and automation in small-scale manufacturing. The founder, Dr. Woo-Keun Yoon, has over 15 years of experience studying livelihood-support robot arms at AIST and other research institutions. The company plans to use the recent funds to boost technology development and expand its sales team. LifeRobotics is hiring software and hardware engineers as well as interns to support product and commercial growth. The company aims to make cooperative robots accessible in environments that are challenging for traditional industrial robots.
