Overview
Lifesize is an Austin, Texas–based videoconferencing software-as-a-service provider. In December 2015 the company separated from Logitech and raised $17.5M in funding to support its independent operations. The financing was backed by Redpoint Ventures, Sutter Hill Ventures and Meritech Capital Partners. Logitech will retain a 37.5% share based on shares outstanding immediately following the investment and said it will focus on its retail business. Lifesize was founded by CEO Craig Malloy in 2003 and was acquired by Logitech in 2009. The separation followed Logitech’s decision to concentrate on its retail business.
