Lifeworks offers a digital platform that links the client-facing experience to back-office functions such as clearing, custody, compliance, billing, and investment management. The company was one of three finalists in ScratchWorks’ Season 3 program, selected from about 40 FinTech applicants. Lifeworks received a portion of a combined $5,000,000 in funding awarded to Lifeworks and ReAllocate through the ScratchWorks competition. Season 3 ran as a virtual, streaming program in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, broadening investor access. ScratchWorks’ investor panel—comprised of leaders from wealth and advisory firms—judged the finalists and participated in the funding decisions. The program is sponsored by Fidelity Institutional and was developed with the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business.
