Skelbækgade 2, 6., Copenhagen, Hovedstaden, 1717, Denmark
Overview
LifeX operates furnished co-living sites in six European cities, offering a ‘family-style’ shared living model where residents are not responsible for chores, maintenance or bills. The company targets young nomadic professionals, helping them find housing and build social networks when relocating. Its residences are furnished with designer furniture and the community includes members from 50 countries. LifeX was founded in 2017 by Sune Theodorsen and Ritu Jain and is headquartered in Denmark. The startup plans to use new capital to expand in existing and new markets, accelerate product development, and pursue its vision to “make anyone feel at home, anywhere in the world.” After a substantial seed round last year, LifeX has now raised close to €15 million in total and is planning a Series A in the near future. LifeX organizes large, furnished co-living apartments in attractive neighborhoods, providing Nordic‑style interiors, weekly cleaning, and flexible memberships without long-term lease commitments. The company emphasizes community by creating built-in social networks for international members and partners with employers such as N26, Pleo, and Delivery Hero to support employee relocation. LifeX currently operates more than 50 co-living homes across six European cities and hosts over 300 members from more than 50 countries. The startup plans to expand to 80+ homes and a seventh city by the end of the year. The new funding is intended to accelerate growth across major European cities and to invest in its community and core technology offerings. The round includes both equity (seed) financing and venture debt.
