LightCode Photonics, founded in 2020 and based in Tartu, Estonia, is developing a compact LiDAR-class 3D camera that combines quantum-light shaping principles with software-defined operation. The company aims to deliver high-performance 3D imaging at roughly the price point of a stereo camera, targeting autonomous cars and smaller service robots that find traditional LiDAR too large, fragile, or expensive. Its approach focuses on upgrading low-resolution LiDAR detectors into accurate real-time 3D mapping devices without delicate moving parts.
