Lighthouse is building an open metaverse navigation engine that lets users search for places, events, creators, experiences, assets and friends across and within virtual worlds. The platform will offer a portal showing trending activities, friend groups, where NFTs are usable, and the work of specific brands and creators. Lighthouse powers search by directly integrating with the virtual worlds it supports to enable real-time discovery. The company announced a US$7 million seed raise and plans to launch its platform in Summer 2022. Funding will be used to grow engineering and community teams and expand the universe of partner worlds. Founders Jonathan Brun and Justine Massicotte bring experience in digital assets and enterprise search.
