Lightmark has developed a technique that embeds an imperceptible signal in ordinary lighting at a recording site so cameras automatically capture a tamper-resistant "fingerprint" tying video to its physical time and place. The startup says the signal cannot be added after recording, removed by compression, or recreated by AI. Its physical principles have been validated by researchers at Cornell University and the company is pursuing patent protection. Daniel Oblitas Garafulic is the company's CEO and founder. Lightmark is also part of Innovate UK's Global Growth Programme. The company recently received nearly 13 million DKK in investment from Bifrost Defence, as reported.
