Lincoln Renewable Energy develops utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) projects and targeted early-stage wind power across the United States. The company is based in Chicago, IL and currently has projects under development in 11 states. LRE closed a $14M private funding round to support continued development and to advance its pipeline toward construction. The capital will be used to continue developing utility-scale solar PV projects and pursue early-stage wind development. Declan Flanagan, CEO, said the company is well positioned to move its diverse and growing pipeline of solar PV projects toward construction. In conjunction with the investment, two Austin Ventures partners will join LRE’s board of directors. Management and founding investors also participated in the financing alongside the lead investor.
