Linq

1904 1st Avenue North Suite 200, Birmingham, Alabama, 35203, United States

Overview

Birmingham-based Linq began life as a digital business-card tool, but has pivoted into an infrastructure layer that allows brands and AI agents to deliver blue-bubble, feature-rich conversations directly within iMessage and other messaging channels. Its API supports group chats, emojis, threaded replies, images, voice notes, and programmatic voice, eliminating the need for separate apps or traditional SMS short codes. Since launching the iMessage-compatible API in February 2025, Linq doubled the annual recurring revenue it had built over the previous four years. The company reports a 132% quarter-over-quarter increase in customer count, a 34% expansion in average customer accounts, and 134,000 monthly active users interacting with customer-deployed AI agents. Linq currently facilitates more than 30 million messages per month and boasts 295% net revenue retention with zero churn. Founded by former Shipt executives Elliott Potter, Patrick Sullivan, and Jared Mattsson, the startup ultimately aims to support conversational touchpoints across Slack, WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, email, and any other channel where end users spend time.
