Lio
Seidlstr. 23, München, Bavaria, 80335, Germany
Overview
Lio has built a virtual procurement workforce that uses agentic AI to read documents, evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, and execute transactions across existing enterprise systems. By replacing manual, fragmented tasks traditionally handled in ERP and eProcurement software, Lio’s agents can compress processes that once took weeks into minutes. The startup reports that it is already helping companies manage billions of dollars in enterprise spend, including enabling a global manufacturer to automate 75% of previously outsourced procurement within six months. Co-founder and CEO Vladimir Keil, along with Lukas Heinzman and Till Wagner, started the company in 2023 after experiencing procurement bottlenecks firsthand. Lio positions itself against legacy procurement suites like SAP Ariba, BPO providers, and consulting firms. With new funding, the team plans to expand across the U.S. and deepen the capabilities of its AI agents. To date, the company has secured $33 million in external capital.
