Liquid Biotech USA develops technology to identify and isolate individual circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from liquid biopsies for cancer diagnostics and gene discovery. The company is a spin-out from the Penn Center for Innovation at the University of Pennsylvania. Leadership includes Dr. Philip M. Sass (Chairman, President and CEO) and Jeffrey M. Janco (Executive Vice President and COO). In February 2015 it raised $2m in seed capital from Oncolys Biopharma. The company intends to use the funds to further develop its technology.
