LiquidSky is a NYC-based cloud gaming, processing and remote desktop service that streams a dedicated Windows "SkyComputer" to users. The SkyComputer offers up to a terabyte of online storage and lets customers download and play PC games or applications from Steam, BattleNet, Uplay, Origin and other portals on Android, Mac, Linux or low-spec Windows PCs. The company is presently in closed beta and has already been used by over half a million users. Led by CEO Ian McLoughlin, LiquidSky provides cloud-based access to PC titles and related processing resources. It closed a $4M seed funding round and intends to use the proceeds to scale and grow its infrastructure.
