Liti Capital
Rue de l'Ancien-Port 14, Geneva, GE, 1201, Switzerland
Overview
Liti Capital buys litigation assets (portions of lawsuits) and tokenizes equity to provide retail investors access to a traditionally illiquid asset class. The company launched the LITI equity token on June 24 and a wrapped wLITI token on June 29, with tokens available on liticapital.com and wLITI on Uniswap. Management says an initial $12M private raise (of which $10M was deployed) secured assets valued around $100M, and a new $5M investment will be used to purchase litigation assets worth up to a potential $50M. Once deployed, the firm states the combined potential asset value would be about $150M versus a stated market cap of $25M. Liti says these assets back the LITI equity token and that tokenization lowers the barrier to entry, increases liquidity, and allows token holders voting rights and dividend distribution upon successful recoveries. The company plans to allocate 5–10% of its investment capital to investigating and funding litigation against crypto scammers to try to recover lost funds for token holders. Leadership named in the announcement includes co-founders Jonas Rey, Andy Christen, Jaime Delgado, and CIO David Kay.
