LiveControl offers a production suite designed to let venues quickly set up livestreamed events with device-agnostic software and optional third-party camera hardware as part of an out-of-the-box package. Its technology has been deployed in “hundreds” of U.S. venues, including music clubs, comedy clubs, Broadway theaters and religious institutions. CEO Patrick Coyne framed the product as an easy, low-cost alternative for venues (rhetorically asking if an entire video crew could appear “for just $150”). The company plans to use new funding to accelerate its technology development and expand headcount from about 40 employees to 120 over the next 18 months. LiveControl has so far raised a total of $33 million, including a $3.2 million seed round last August.
