Lizcore
Carrer Figuera N 16, Sant pere de vilamajor, Catalonia, 08458, Spain
Overview
Lizcore builds hardware and software to digitize indoor climbing: a lightweight NFC bracelet paired with smart base units and top-out holds that capture route stats and feed them into an app. The two‑founder team has expanded to nine people as it works to commercialize its route‑tracking kit and refine hardware reliability. The company is also developing an autobelay safety device that combines the NFC credentialing on the bracelet with camera-based AI to detect whether climbers are correctly clipped in; the team hopes to complete this in 6–12 months. Financially, Lizcore has pulled in a total of €600,000 to date, including state support in the form of an interest-free €200,000 loan and some grants. Investors in the round include Startup Wise Guys plus a mix of individual and business backers from the sector. Lizcore recently ran a demo and signed its first local customer, the Drac de Pedra climbing gym in Rubí, Catalonia.
