1150 Arch St, Berkeley, 94708
Overview
Loamist produces Biomass Explorer™, a software tool that maps biomass resources in real time and visualizes detailed data to help companies locate and evaluate low-carbon feedstocks. The product aims to reduce the time and cost to assess biomass supply chain risk and accelerate climatetech project development. The company has demonstrated traction with leading climatetech companies and emerged from stealth with a public launch. Loamist's mission is to increase access to waste biomass to enable carbon-negative and carbon-neutral fuels, chemicals, and materials. The firm has an ambition to facilitate the utilization of 100 million tons of waste biomass by 2030 and plans to build a broader digital industrial platform for biomass. Co-founders Andy Miller (CEO) and Pete Christensen (Co-founder and COO) lead the company from Berkeley, Calif.
