1528 Woodward Ave Fl 3, Detroit, Michigan, 48226, United States
Overview
Locqus offers a two-part platform—a time clock with payment processing and a web-based interface for customer tracking, employee management and job assignment—plus iOS and Android apps for field technicians. The product targets small and medium service businesses such as plumbers, handymen, landscapers and other trades, and the company trialed its service with 100 businesses ranging from two to 40 employees. The service is free for those tracking two teams of 20 employees each; SMS customer alerts and payment processing are available for $12 per user. Locqus launched after 18 months of development and is operating with a 16-person team out of Detroit’s Madison Block. Strategic partnerships include Samsung (the Locqus app is part of Samsung’s Galaxy Essential app pack) and payment processor Moneris, which will provide on-site payment processing and marketing access to its ~350,000 business customers. The company plans to offer in-app consumer financing by the end of Q1 2015 to enable on-the-spot financing for large purchases and installations.
