Lofelt builds a combined hardware and software platform to add high-definition haptic feedback to products across gaming, AR/VR, automotive, consumer electronics, toys, medical and entertainment. The company positions itself as delivering a complete hardware, software and user-experience solution ready for mass production, citing silent actuators, an audio-driven wide frequency approach and tightly integrated software for power, control and efficiency. Lofelt builds the Basslet, a wrist-worn wearable subwoofer that vibrates in sync with low-frequency audio to add a visceral layer to music and gaming. The device runs up to six hours, is silent to the outside world, and uses Lofelt's patent-pending "LoSound engine" with a stated frequency response of 10–250Hz. Early prototypes impressed reviewers for intense, body-focused bass in an extremely small form factor. The company says the hardware is being explored by partners in gaming and automotive industries for additional uses. Lofelt positions the Basslet for music enthusiasts, gamers, and live performers who need portable haptic bass. The team is led by cofounders Daniel Büttner and Gwydion ap Dafydd and comprises about 13 people.
