Founded in 2022 by Nicolás Sarquis, Alberto Morelli and Gabriel Lyon, Lokal operates a B2B marketplace that connects small retailers with suppliers to centralize ordering and offer credit and payment guarantees. The platform currently links more than 500 suppliers with over 3,500 merchants across roughly 260 comunas in Chile. Lokal reported $4 million in revenue in 2025 with an annualized run rate near $5 million. The company has a nine-person team and plans to scale nationally to reach over 100,000 small merchants. As part of its growth roadmap, Lokal is building an AI system to recommend which products merchants should buy, in what quantities, and when to reorder. Prior to the recent $700,000 investment from Invexor's Discovery II fund, Lokal raised $100,000 in 2022 and received backing from Platanus Ventures and several startup founders.
