Founder and CEO Shaz Sedighzadeh said some fashion and hair professionals are becoming disenchanted with Pinterest's increasing focus on advertising, creating demand for a purer, organic curation product. Looklist is exploring e-commerce connections and is working with clothing boutiques and hair salons to create in-store displays. The company raised a small $174,000 seed round from Foundry Group via its AngelList Syndicate and will use the funds to build out the team and develop iOS apps. Sedighzadeh said monetization isn't the immediate focus, though the startup doesn't plan to shy away from making money.
