Overview

Loop, built by Seattle startup NQuiry, is an iOS social polling application designed to help users resolve daily dilemmas by sending polls to friends via Facebook, Twitter, email, and text. The service supports yes/no and multiple-choice polls with text or photo answers, and even embeds Amazon site search and Pinterest pinboard integration to aid shopping and recipe queries. User responses are displayed in an infographic-style feed that segments results by gender, age, and geography, creating a rich data set. While the product is consumer-focused at launch, the company plans to release a B2B offering within weeks, allowing enterprises to run promoted polls and access analytics dashboards or import flat files for deeper analysis. Monetization is expected to come from data analytics, promoted polls, and potential freemium account upgrades such as anonymous posting. Loop has secured four corporate partners to pilot promoted polls and is enhancing its backend to better serve market-research customers. To fuel these plans, the company recently raised a $450,000 seed round and is targeting a $1 million Series A in the fall.
