The company intends to use the new funding to accelerate product development, customer acquisition, and hiring. By the end of 2021 Loopio planned to expand its employee base from 165 to more than 200, focusing hiring around its Toronto headquarters and across North America. Loopio was founded in 2014 by Zak Hemraj (CEO), Matt York (CTO), and Jafar Owainati (former CRO). The company received a major strategic investment in 2021 that supports its growth plans. Loopio is a Toronto-based company that provides RFP software to help enterprises streamline collaboration on responding to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires. Led by co-founder and CEO Zakir Hemraj, the company serves over 300 organizations, including Thomson Reuters, IBM, Netskope, Sprinklr, and Citrix. Loopio raised $9m in a Series A financing led by OpenView. The company will use the funds to accelerate product development and expand its Sales and Engineering teams in Toronto. As part of its growth plans, Loopio planned to hire over 50 people in 2018. OpenView Partner Ricky Pelletier will join Loopio’s board in conjunction with the financing.
