Overview
Lottie is a London-based digital marketplace that lets care seekers find, compare and enquire directly with UK care homes and care services. Founded in 2021 by Will and Chris Donnelly, the platform lists more than 4,000 care, home care and retirement living services. Beyond its core marketplace, Lottie acquired Found by Lottie in 2022, a suite of technology tools for care providers to manage enquiries, customer relationships, occupancy, finance and billing, and to show real-time bed availability. The company operates a 50-strong team in London and plans to use new funding to further invest in its suite of technology products and double headcount in 2024. Lottie raised $21M in a Series A round, bringing total funding to $31M. The funds are intended to support product development and expansion of the marketplace within the UK care sector. Lottie operates a free-to-use digital healthcare marketplace and concierge service that helps care and retirement seekers locate and compare the UK’s later-life living options. Launched by Chris Donnelly and Will Donnelly in July 2021, the platform offers residential care and independent living comparisons. The company plans to use new funding for national expansion and to invest in new digital tools for care providers. Lottie also intends to make further inroads into the retirement living sector and to grow Seniorcare, its eldercare employee benefit portal. The business is headquartered in London and is now valued at £45m and employs 40 people. Lottie operates a free digital marketplace and care-concierge service designed to reduce the time, stress, and cost of finding quality care homes for older adults. The startup was founded in July 2021 and is UK-based. It plans to use new funding to expand its marketplace and care-concierge services across the UK and to extend its offering into the independent living sector for the 55+ population. The company highlights a growing market need as the UK sector includes 12,500 care homes and 480,000 registered beds and is forecast to be unsustainable beyond 2028 without new investment and technology. Financially, Lottie has raised £2.5 million in the latest round, bringing total funding to £3.0 million and reflecting a £27.5 million valuation. The founders launched the service following personal experience searching for care for a family member.
