Lully builds a device that sits under a child’s mattress and pairs with a smartphone app to vibrate at key times and prevent the sleep patterns that lead to night terrors. The company shipped a beta to 150 tester families, tracking 5,000 nights and reporting a 70% average improvement in sleep with an 80% reduction in nightmares. Lully is moving from a manually switched beta to an automated version that will detect bad sleep patterns and turn itself on. The team plans to launch the non-beta generation of the device at the end of this month. Beyond the current product, Lully says its next device will target infants (four- to six-month-olds) and small children with night terrors in a more automated way. The company is YC-backed and recently raised seed financing to support these product and go-to-market plans.
