Lumaegis develops the RadBox, a patent-protected sterilization device that uses a dual-modality LED approach (germicidal plus thermal radiation) as a fast, energy-efficient alternative to traditional sterilizers. The RadBox has received FDA De Novo classification and the company reports key patent(s) granted with additional applications nearing completion. Lumaegis closed a $200,000 pre-seed round led by a global strategic partner and will use the funds to build the next set of production units and conduct FDA, UL/CE, and longevity testing. The company plans to begin FDA-required testing later this year and aims to start production and first sales in 2026. Lumaegis says it already has customers lined up from collaborating dental professionals and a first major customer—also an investor—representing over 2,000 units in initial sales.
