Lumatix develops high-tech software that simulates how natural light behaves in the real world and can generate realistic, high-quality images on a normal PC in a few milliseconds. The software is intended for anyone who visualizes 3D data, including interior designers, 3D visualization specialists and makers of 3D movies. Led by CEO Christian Heckl, the company has a beta version of its software in use by pilot customers. Lumatix raised €600k in equity financing from High‑Tech Gründerfonds and Bayern Kapital. The company intends to use the funds for further development and for market entry. Market entry was being planned for the summer of 2011.
