Lumicore manufactures high-resolution, low-power micro-OLED displays for near-eye applications, offering panel sizes from 0.2 to 1.32 inches. The company provides end-to-end services from chip development to finished display screens and has built an 8-inch micro-OLED production line. Lumicore says its digitally-driven Micro-OLED improves color, contrast and response time while cutting power consumption to about half the industry average at the same brightness and supporting refresh rates up to 144Hz. It reports maintaining over 85% of the DCI-P3 gamut at low grayscale levels (below 32) and achieving production yields several times above industry benchmarks. The firm has more than 60 patent applications in micro-OLED technology and has formed partnerships with industry leaders and headset brands. Lumicore is developing a 4K Micro-OLED display and recently closed a $100 million Series A.
