Lumigent Technologies, based in Acton, MA, provides automated Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) software. Its flagship product, AppGRC, monitors application-specific data and controls to reduce costs and mitigate risk. The company closed a $3M funding round from North Bridge Venture Partners. Lumigent said the new funds will be used to accelerate the company’s expansion. It has reinforced its executive team with hires including Lisa Mastrangelo as CFO and Rick Ruskin as VP of sales. CEO John H. Capobianco said 2009 results demonstrate strong demand to drive down operational risk and the costs of auditing and compliance reporting, and predicted 2010 would be an exceptional year.
