Luminate Health provides a SaaS platform that gives patients easy access to their lab results and explains what each test means using clinically backed resources and physician consultants. The product augments lab reports with contextual articles and video content to help patients engage with their data and ask better questions of clinicians. The company positions itself as an informational tool, not a diagnostic or interpretive medical device. Its customers are labs (commercial and hospital), and it has already partnered with one of the 10 largest labs in the U.S. Luminate graduated from Blueprint Health’s accelerator and plans to expand from routine tests into specialized areas like endocrinology, genetic testing and oncology, as well as rollouts in retail clinics such as those at Walgreens and Target. Financially, the company recently closed a $1 million seed round to support product and market expansion.
