Lumitics
71 Ayer Rajah Crescent, #07-10, Singapore, Central Singapore, 139951
Overview
Lumitics builds Insight, a smart waste-tracking device that uses sensors and proprietary image recognition to weigh and identify food thrown away by restaurants and commercial kitchens and sends data to a cloud dashboard. The device fits on top of existing kitchen bins and requires no manual input, enabling hospitality and F&B businesses to identify waste sources and cut costs. Lumitics was founded in 2017 by Rayner Loi and Keshav Sivakumar and was previously called Good for Food before renaming in 2019. The company has received grants and support from Temasek Foundation Ecosperity, Enterprise Singapore, NUS Enterprise and incubator BLOCK71. With the recent oversubscribed seed round, Lumitics plans to improve product development, grow its Singapore market share and expand regionally across Asia. The startup is focused on hospitality and F&B customers but may also target airlines, hospitals and schools in future expansions.
