Overview
Lumo develops the Lumo One smart valve, a connected irrigation product that lets growers precisely control and measure water application to crops. The system is designed to reduce labor, cut excess water use, and eliminate irrigation guesswork. Dozens of world‑renowned growers across Napa, Sonoma, and the Central Coast already use Lumo One to automate irrigation, monitor flow rates remotely, and gain visibility into system performance. Led by CEO and founder Devon Wright, the company plans to continue investing in product research and development and pursue rapid go‑to‑market expansion. Lumo is based in Napa County, California. The company recently raised $7M in funding. Lumo develops a wireless, cloud-managed water valve network designed to optimize water usage for growers. The system enables remote control and management of irrigation to improve crop quality and reduce operational costs. The company was launched by partners Devon Wright (CEO), John Hinnegan (CTO) and Henry Halimi (R&D). Several of Lumo’s irrigation systems are being tested in vineyards and orchards in Sonoma County, California. Lumo intends to use newly raised funds to continue development and commercialization of its irrigation system. The articles describe the product focus and early field testing but do not report revenue or other operating metrics.
