Luos

223 Avenue Emile Counord, Bordeaux, Aquitaine, 33300, France

Overview

Luos develops an open-source software architecture that encapsulates hardware and software functions as reusable microservices, enabling embedded device functions to communicate while remaining independent. The technology is the result of about 10 years of R&D in INRIA labs and has been validated through 10 industrial POCs. Luos offers a modular methodology and hardware abstraction with APIs to simplify creation, testing and deployment of embedded applications. The company made its core technology open source to democratize this approach for embedded developers, CTOs and innovation teams. Its solution has attracted sectors such as new mobility, smart household appliances, service robotics, aeronautics, aerospace, industrial robotics and IoT, and it works with partners including 3DiTex, Cala, Nimbl’Bot and Pollen Robotics. Following the fundraising, Luos plans to double its workforce by hiring 10 positions and expand its presence in France and internationally to the United States, Germany, Spain, Japan and South Korea. Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Bordeaux, France, Luos reported eight collaborators at the time of the announcement.
