Luther.AI offers an AI tool that captures and transcribes audio from conversations and surfaces relevant personal memories in the moment of an online conversation or via search. The company released an initial browser-based version at TechCrunch Disrupt and is competing for the event’s $100,000 prize. Its core product focuses on in-the-moment recall by combining neuroscience, NLP and other technologies to augment users’ private memories. The product includes end-to-end encryption and enforces consent controls so other parties’ portions of conversations are only saved with explicit permission. Luther plans future features including blockchain-based ownership enforcement, a standalone app, an API for third-party integration, and a wearable high-quality 5G recording device. The company was founded at the beginning of this year by CEO Suman Kanuganti and three co-founders (CTO Sharon Zhang, design director Kristie Kaiser and scientist Marc Ettlinger); it has raised $500,000 and has 14 employees.
