The service targets underserved locations where anchor corporate clients create sufficient demand, then opens routes for anyone to book. Lygg’s technology measures passenger and cargo volumes to optimize frequencies and minimize empty seats, and it pairs flights with electric vehicle transfers for end-to-end trips. The company says its model reduces travel time, cost, and carbon emissions versus conventional connections and is designed to scale alongside zero-emission aviation solutions. Since beginning operations in June 2022, Lygg has completed 154 flights, carried thousands of passengers to 17 destinations across 12 European countries. The company plans to use new funding to expand routes (including Rotterdam, Stockholm, Aberdeen and Frankfurt), grow its operator base, and enhance a reservation portal that integrates with major travel management company booking tools.
