Overview
Lysanda is a Kelvedon, UK-based provider of advanced technology aimed at reducing vehicle fuel costs. Its core product is Eco-Log, an in-vehicle, onboard software solution that provides highly accurate data on fuel consumption and wastage to help cut fleet running costs. The company intends to use the funds to further develop Eco-Log and expand its adoption across fleets. Lysanda was recently selected as a strategic partner by TomTom to provide Eco-Log to a range of TomTom devices. The company raised £10m in funding to support these plans. Backers include Disruptive Capital Finance, investors Danny and Edmund Truell, and the company’s newly appointed executive chairman Geoffrey Finlay. Lysanda develops the Eco-Log™ system, which provides highly accurate data on fuel consumption and wastage to help reduce vehicle fleet running costs and minimise environmental impacts. The company completed successful trials with a number of corporate customers. To move the technology toward commercial deployment, Lysanda secured outside financing. It raised £1.3m in a second venture funding round. The round was led by Curzon Park Capital through its Sustainable Technology Fund (STF) and closed on 1 September 2009. The proceeds are intended to fund commercial rollout following the trials.
