Lyzi is a Tezos-based crypto payment hub that enables consumers to pay with cryptocurrency for everyday retail and e-commerce purchases. Merchants collect payments in crypto through Lyzi and receive fiat directly into their bank accounts. The company raised €1.3 million (about $1.4 million) in a seed funding round to expand development of its platform. The round included participation from angel investors Christopher Grilhault des Fontaines and Jean‑Luc Bernard. Lyzi is built on the Tezos layer-1 blockchain and plans to launch on Tezos' layer-2, Etherlink, which is EVM-compatible. CEO Damien Patureaux said the goal is to make accepting crypto payments so easy that merchants will have to ask why they wouldn't do it. Building on Etherlink is positioned as the next phase to expand into more markets worldwide.
