Magenta Therapeutics is developing an integrated portfolio of novel therapeutics to address unmet needs in bone marrow transplantation, including targeted transplant conditioning, stem cell mobilization, and stem cell expansion programs. The company’s most advanced clinical product candidate, MGTA-456, is a cell therapy currently in a Phase 2 trial for patients with inherited metabolic diseases. Through a license agreement with Harvard University, Magenta has access to a portfolio of stem cell technologies developed at Harvard, Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital. Its leadership includes CEO and cofounder Jason Gardner, D. Phil., CSO Michael Cooke, Ph.D., COO Bastiano Sanna, Ph.D., and VP Christina Isacson, Ph.D. Magenta was founded by recognized stem cell experts including David Scadden, Derrick Rossi, John Dipersio, Robert Negrin, Luigi Naldini and Alan Tyndall. Magenta completed a $48.5M Series A financing to advance its programs.
