Magpet Polymers is India’s first PET circular enterprise focused on end-to-end bottle-to-bottle recycling to produce food-grade rPET pellets. The company is building India’s largest integrated single-line bottle-to-bottle food-grade recycling plant at Vidyasagar Industrial Park, Kharagpur, West Bengal. The facility will cover the full PET-bottle recycling value chain from receiving used bottles to washing, flaking/granulating, and re-extruding granules back into bottles. The plant will have an annual capacity of 45,000 metric tonnes and aims to reduce reliance on virgin plastics while meeting growing sustainable packaging demand. It will deploy European technology from Herbold, Coperion, and Polymetrix, introduced to India for the first time. Management says the expansion will scale its sustainable practices and enable wider adoption of recycled PET in India’s packaging industry.
