Mainstreet Marketplace is a C2B2C sneaker resale platform that sources and resells collectible trainers from labels like Nike, Adidas, Yeezy, Supreme and Drewhouse. Founded as a YouTube channel in 2017 by Vedant Lamba, the company sells sneakers priced between Rs 8,999 and Rs 8,24,999 and claims an exclusive audience including Bollywood celebs such as Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar and Ranveer Singh. It monetizes by taking commissions on resale transactions. The business currently operates two brick-and-mortar locations (Delhi and Mumbai) and plans to add six more stores by the end of the year. Management says new capital will be used to hire an experienced senior management team, expand physical presence in more cities and improve customer experience. Financially, Mainstreet reported revenues of Rs 24 crore for FY22–23 and anticipates a topline of Rs 100 crore for FY23–24; competitors include VegNonVeg and Superkicks.
