MakePrintable provides an automated service that repairs 3D meshes and adapts them for specific printers, materials, print orientations, and build-plate positions to improve printability. The platform handles high polygon-count files using multiple GPUs in a compute cluster and exposes an API that integrates with Autodesk and other 3D platforms. It offers three free fixes per month and a paid plan of 10 fixes for $7, and can reduce and optimize object volume to save on material costs. The product is aimed at gamer makers and the company is developing additional gamer-focused features. Founders Muhannad Taslaq and Baha Abunojaim bring deep education in gaming graphics from the US and Jordan and built the business after moving from Amman to San Francisco. To date the company reports 30,000 beta signups, 100,000 repairs performed, and has raised $4.8 million across the US and Asia.
