Maltivor
4 Chemin des Ronzières, Vourles, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, 69390, France
Overview
Maltivor (Wonderwomalt) develops a process to convert brewery spent grain into food-grade flours and ingredients with differentiated nutritional and organoleptic properties. Its ingredients are rich in fiber, protein and minerals and relatively low in gluten, designed for incorporation into industrial food products. The company plans to launch a line of concentrated plant-protein products to address the growing plant-protein market. Maltivor positions itself within a circular‑economy model by collecting brewers’ draff (France produces ~700,000 tonnes annually) and valorizing it for human food. Founded in 2018 by Lola Bonnin and Gabrielle Hugon, the company was historically based in Vourles (Rhône) and intends to locate production units near brewers with adapted regular collection systems. The raise is intended to finance R&D on a protein‑concentrate product, strengthen the team, and accelerate industrialization to reach a production capacity of 100 tonnes per year.
