Mamabear is a mobile parenting app for iPhone and Android that combines family location tracking with social-media monitoring. Parents and children install the app; kids see a simplified dashboard to check in with emoticons and send "come get me" or emergency alerts, while parents configure roles and monitor locations, geo-fenced alerts, and driving-speed alerts. Mamabear filters social activity into a "need to know" news feed, alerting parents to friend/follower changes, Instagram uploads with previews, and letting them set a blocked-word list.
