Mandolin is an Indianapolis-based concert livestreaming platform that launched during the pandemic and just marked its first birthday. The company provides livestreamed concerts and is developing Live+, a set of digital companion experiences designed to amplify in-person shows. Mandolin plans to build a companion app and other digital offerings to drive audience engagement inside venues as touring resumes. The startup will continue to focus on streaming while expanding tools that enhance the live event experience. CEO Mary Kay Huse said the new financing will support innovation of the core solution, delivery of new digital offerings, and reinforcement of routes to market. 645 Managing Partner Nnamdi Okike is joining Mandolin’s board as part of the round. Since forming in June 2020, Mandolin provides an audio-visual livestream solution for artists, management teams, and venues across all genres. The platform offers artist meet & greet experiences, public and private chat, embedded limited-edition merch tables, watch parties and ticket sharing, custom emoji reactions, and charity and donation collection capabilities. Mandolin is led by Mary Kay Huse, Chief Executive and Co-Founder, and is based in Indianapolis, Indiana. The company raised $5M in seed funding to support its growth. Mandolin intends to use the funds to accelerate growth and expand its live-music product and reach to artists, venues, and fans.
