ManyChat offers a platform for creating Facebook Messenger bots while supporting live human chat, positioning its product as a blend of automation and personal outreach. The company also provides options for advertising to bring more users into messaging channels. ManyChat reports more than 1 million accounts created on its platform, with customers across e-commerce, retail, gyms, beauty salons, and restaurants. Those customers have collectively enlisted 350 million Messenger subscribers, and the platform sees 7 billion messages sent each month with an average open rate of 80 percent. ManyChat’s focus is currently on Facebook Messenger, though the company sees potential to expand to Instagram, WhatsApp, RCS, and other channels. The startup recently raised $18 million in Series A financing, which supports its growth and product expansion plans.
