Overview
Maqsad is a mobile-first education platform in Pakistan focused on K-12 learning with bilingual (English/Urdu) content and adaptive testing to personalize student learning. The product mixes video content, quizzes and gamified features and includes adaptive testing that adjusts question difficulty based on responses. Founders Taha Ahmed and Rooshan Aziz launched pilots in April–May and began full-scale operations on July 26; the company has a waitlist for a mobile app slated for Q4 2021. Maqsad plans to develop in-house content—building a production studio, academics and animators—while bolstering R&D and engineering. Initially the company will focus on 11th and 12th grade math and aims to expand into other STEM subjects over the next one to two years. Longer-term plans include a hybrid online/offline model and expanding into adult classes.
